Tyre recommendations for the north

Hello my fellow A2 drivers!

It is time get a new set of tyres for my little toaster, and I would like to know what brand of tyres you guys are using at the moment!

My measurements are 185/50R 16 81V

The tyres I have at the moment are Dunlop and they have seemed to have done a decent job! I have heard that Kumho are quite good though?

I always buy Kumho. As good as other well-known brands but much cheaper.
The standard size (185/50 16) aren't always stocked by some places as it's not a common size. I usually go for 195 - a bit wider, looks better, usually a bit cheaper, and normally in stock.

I have used a couple of sets of Kumho Ecsta KH31 185/50 R 16 81V, and am currently running Continental PremiumContact 2 185/50 R 16 81H. I switched not because of any issue with Kumho; simply because I don't switch to winter tyres, and the wet weather performance of the Contis is rated better than that of the Kumhos.

My tyres spreadsheet tells me I got 57,000 miles out of a pair of Kumhos on the front ... which can't be correct
