Abs and traction

After 6 years in my A2 my brother has seen the light
and decided he needs one too!

He's found one but it has a few issues.
The abs light is on and the traction symbol flashes up too
Might the appearance of both lights signify that it's the abs unit
is at fault rather than a sensor?
Also the red explanation light shows and gong sounds.

Couple of other faults are petrol filler cap not working and
boot not always locking/ unlocking... are these easy fixes?

Thanks in advance.

Unless it's a very rare one I'd find another, even if it's a long way away. there are a few nice ones on the forum.

I've had the ABS, ESP & brake warning exclamation mark come on a couple of times. According to my garage, it's either expensive, or horrendously expensive, depending on which of two sensors it is.

I've had problems with intermittent Warnings like that each time I've had a front bearing replaced. The sensor ring wasn't well fitted and the spacing messed up the ABS.
Could be easy to fix... But why buy a turkey when you are surrounded by prime fowl?
