WOW! The size of "Me Nuts"...

Ha Ha, Made Ya Look!!
But seriously I was helping my mate Dave to replace a n/s front spring (I'm just the spanner man, but learning Shed Loads along the way).
All of a sudden we ground to a halt when we came across the hub nut. Now "My mate Dave" very rarely doesn't have some sort of tool or other
to get us out of the "Mire" , but on this occasion, it was not to be.
A swift call to his mate at an auto shop proved fruitless as well, Next plan Audi Bury St Edmunds spares/parts was called and the Outcome was,
that they couldn't or wouldn't sell us the Much needed socket!!!
Aargh, What size/kind is it ????
So I thought I would "Try my luck" with the Wonderful Peeps on this forum.
Any help much appreciated..P.S is it the same fitment on the rear?

Apologies if this is posted in wrong place.

You don't need to remove the hub or any of that stuff to get the strut off. Top bolts, bottom bolts, drop link bolt, split the strut clamp. Remove strut. Bit of pulling manipulating, but no need to remove hub, etc at all.
