1.2 tdi Tie Rod End

Hello all,

My right tie rod is dead. I decide to replace it but it's completely jammed in... I had many older cars, rustier cars, bigger car and I have never seen a tie rod end frozen in like that... So at this point im starting to wonder, is there something like a pin olding it in there... I have tried with the special tool, with the trustable hammer hit, heating the outside with propane to hopefully make it expend just enough, spaying penatrating oil for a week... it doesnt move! what is going on? Any idea or tricks?

Thank you

I'd suggest you need a bigger hammer. :) Plus, not necessarily the right approach though support the wishbone and hit down on the nut.

its out! bigger hammer, harder blow, keeping the pressure as much as i could with the tool while tapping and POUF! out! thanks guys

That might be the easiest part of the job. The work instructions suggest that the rack has to be removed to change the tie rods!
