6481 Miles

This thread is titled 6481 miles because that is how far our Bonnet has travelled since it began its journey from Castle Combe on 15 October 2016

But how far will the Air Ambulance helicopter travel on the money raised so far?

As of time of writing, we have collected just over £700.

So at the moment, our pilot has put down his tea, called the navigator, and they've wandered over to the aircraft to do some pre-flight checks.

We've managed to fill the tank for them, that cost nearly five hundred quid. We can only hope we had enough left to pay the man with the spanner to tighten up all the appropriate nuts & bolts so the thing won't fall apart on take off...

With each mission for an Air Ambulance costing an average of £2500 we have a long way to go to make a real difference.

So come on Guys, put your hands in your pockets.

If every active member using the Forum were to contribute just ten pounds, we would be able to fund TWO complete missions for this very worthy cause. At the moment, we haven't even got it off the ground once.

It's easy to donate using our Fund-raising page for the Association of Air Ambulances. Money is transferred directly to the charity at the time of donating so you know it is going straight there.

We hope none of us will be in the position to need the Air Ambulance but if you did, you'd be really glad that people like A2OC members have supported it.

Thank you

the Bonnet Team
