Power steering rack seal leak

After a £400 maintenance outlay I’m unable to fork out for a rack replacement for a while yet. I have a seal leak which isn’t terrible and did not fail the MOT. (It is an advisory however). Does anybody have any experience of leak stop fluids? Im pretty sure I can’t use the well known one as it says ‘not for electric power steering pumps’?

It’s not a job I can do myself and for the price difference I think I will get a new rack as I intend to keep my A2 for many years yet. Does anybody know an average time to do the job so I can work out the labour costs?

Many thanks

Rob

Just had mine replaced by AT Garages in Dover 2.5hrs time and £250 for the rack.
Great Garage and really hot on A2's, The boss has one himself.

I don't believe the price is for genuine audi part far to cheap for genuine new part, more possibly a recon unit
