gala wire

Unless it's a very early car, there isn't one.

You can take a feed for the GALA signal from the back of the clocks though, Pin30 on the blue connector from memory.

Cheers,

Mike

There isn't one!

Looking at the manuals, the connector is the 32-pin blue one at the back of the clocks and it's pin 31 you want. It should be an empty slot on your car, but if there is a wire there, it'll be blue with a yellow stripe.

Cheers,

Mike

I presume you know how to whip the clocks out?

If not, you undo the 2 torx screws under the instrument hood, then remove the hood. Next, remove the screw at the back of the clocks and the 2 hidden behind the leatherette trim at the bottom of the clocks and then they can come up and out.

Cheers,

Mike

Hi,
I'm at the same thing here, trying to get the gala signal. Ive found the blue/yellow wire coming from pin 31. what now is my question?

Its a tdi 2002, chorus 2 originally.

I'm guessing i dont want to break the existing connection as it must be doing something. So should I join a new wire to the blue/yellow and feed this to the radio?

Thanks
Nicky
