Bluetooth audio streaming to Chorus II

I eventually got round to installing the adaptor this afternoon, after a prolonged struggle with VCDS. I’m not sure exactly what had happened but to cut a long story short I found I couldn’t connect my laptop to the OBD port any more, it seems that maybe some windows updates had reallocated the port I was using to something else. After a lot of trial and error and generous help from @PlasticMac i eventually got it working again and found the reprogramming the radio to recognise the CD changer to be very simple, and possible with my unlicensed version of VCDS Lite. Fitting the adapter wasn’t too hard, though getting the radio out was a bit of a struggle, the wiring loom had got tangled round something. The audio quality seems good however I made a major oversight… the listing for this said it didn’t support telephony however since I was using it via the carplay console I thought this wouldn’t matter. How wrong I was.
So I’m returning it (easy and free using Amazon fortunately) and found on the bluemusic website the slightly enhanced version that supports BT calling, only a few £ more. Hopefully it should be a simple swap.

Here’s what I’ve ordered. It was out of stock on Amazon unfortunately. I’ll update the post when I find out how well it works.

I have one of these thanks to @mtl and YouTube. Its brilliant. I have a mic run up the A-pillar to the overhead console behind the headliner (invisible) and there are no problems at all. I ordered direct from Germany.
