Chuckled to myself as a read the title of this thread being project commuter! It's spent almost as much time off the road.
More like 3\4 restoration.

So the rear brakes need replacing as do the off side handbrake cable, this is what's causing poor brakes and poor handbrake.

I'll add it to the list!
New drums
New shoes and hardware New cylinders.
Full new handbrake
 
Here the rear bushes then, one fell out and one had to be drilled. The car is now factory again at the back, feels lovely.
