Excellent. It's like that accident never happened.Today I went from this:

Thanks to @timmus Tom for posting a replacement visor and clip assembly rapidly last week!
(in case you’re wondering, that’s one of those umbrella-type windscreen shades - I find Audrey’s interior gets very warm on a sunny day without it!)
I have to confess that I'm Mintys new owner. Thank you again John for letting it join the fleet

Getting to be quite the fleet, and that without Peppa that’s down the garden.
It's good to see another one with excellent taste in grills, and not of the mixed variety. Although they're nice too.2

Oh so that's where Tonka went, too ... that is indeed a fleet full of rarity and interest and lovely condition, you should be proud @HefView attachment 123993

I have that additive in delivery, will let you know if it works. I noted that engine got slightly less noisy after switching from audi-recommended 5w30 to 5w40, actuallyI have just driven my petrol 1.4 SE on its first long journey in my care, to consider if I should promote it to my primary car (replacing my 2018 Up GTi)
Initial observations are:-
1) A much more comfortable drive than the Up, which is incredibly jiggly on the motorway and bangs over the slightest road imperfections.
2) A much quieter ride, as the Up has an incredibly loud tyre noise.
3) Excellent fuel economy, North Gosforth (Newcastle) to Heathrow via A1M/M1 292 miles driven - fuel gauge just touching 1/2 - filled with 21.5 litres ( I understand 42 Litre tank) = 61.74 MPG. Quite impressive I think.
The only observation for the forum members is the slight “tappety” noise of the petrol engine more noticeable at lower speeds. As I have not driven another, I don’t know if this is normal?
My question, not knowing what oil was used on the last oil change is……. Would and oil change to one of the manual approved specifications improve this or is there any value in trying something like Liqui moly hydraulic lifter additive?
Many thanks
I had a roll over day today too, missed it myself when driving! Skoda superb hit 300000 milesToday I noticed this.

Thing is, the daughter in-law has borrowed it while I do some MOT advisories on hers, so I'll miss the roll over.
