Hi all, I too suffer from the usual interior creaks and squeaks coming from all over the place in my 2003 1.6fsi sport, but have found a product that may help.... I purchased a can of spray silicone lubricant from my local robert dyas (
http://www.robertdyas.co.uk/wd40-silicone-lubricant-250ml) a few days ago, and using the straw on the end of the nozzle I have squirted some into the joins on the door handles, all over the rear seat catches and in the joins around the air vent, radio and climate panels on the center console... and this seems to have stopped the creaks completely.
It worked really quickly... before I applied it to the door handles, you would hear the creak noises when you hold them, but after spraying this along the join lines, then rubbing off the excess and doing it again, with the whole process taking around 30 seconds per door handle, the creaking noises were completely gone.
I am slowing working my way around the interior as I try to pinpoint where the rest of the noises are coming from... basically all of the joins in the paneling I think! But so far, after a few days of having used this, it has made a massive difference to the interior noises.
I don't know how long it will last, and you need to be careful to wipe up the excess if anyone else tries this, but so far I am very pleased with the effect it has had. The car is so much quieter to drive now!
Hopefully it may help someone else out there.
