Rns-e which model

Morning,

Please look through this thread which Jeremy has kindly put together:

https://www.a2oc.net/community/inde...ils-troubleshooting-thread.36570/#post-320155

I have recently fitted a RNS-E which was also a Mk1 (192 opposed to a Mk2 193 within the part number) and haven’t looked back. It looks like it should have always been there.

There is a specific Mk2 part number (ends with a B I think) to look out for but as far as I’m aware your can have any Mk1 headuntil.

Im sure someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly.

Kind regards,

Tom

Yes, indeed as Tom says above, hopefully the thread I created should certainly help you on your way to finding the correct unit. It should be said though that it requires a few additional cables and is not a 5-minute swapout... :)

More specifically to your particular query, a 192Q unit will work. It is a Mk1 unit, and will therefore only take up to 4GB SD cards (NOT SDHC cards).

I have the RNSE mk 2, and works perfectly most of the time, I just don’t use it enough to practice lolView attachment 43159
Here’s a better pic, sorry, the mk 2 is definitely identifiable by the media button and silver knobs and twin sd card slots but not 100% sure on part number sorry

8P0 035 193B is the MK2 that will work in A6 mode and receive the speed pulse from the gala wire

I may have a Mk1 unit for sale soon, I just need to double check it as I've never actually tested it. It's pre-cut for the A2 so should fit perfectly straight away.
