LED sidelight bulbs?

Hi all. Can anyone recommend some white led sidelight bulbs? Fed up of either buying bluey white bulbs or led bulbs that just don't last.
Thanks
Steve

But i am using 4000k (not so white). If you want white color use 6000k.

I also have 501 Philips X-treme Vision LED 12V W5W 6000K in my A6 (for 2 years and counting). I chose those as they have a diffuser on the front and the bulb is "bare" in the A6 lights. The A2 has a shroud over the bulb so its not so important but is good confirmation for these fitting in the A2 light too. I didn't want to recommend them as I haven't tried them in my A2.

Using these Philips leds on a2 for one year and counting. In my a2 they are working all the time (day and night) with headlights because of local laws.

Hi.
Forgot to mention i have the sport model with DIS so need canbus ready leds.
Steve

I'm fairly sure sidelight bulbs are not incorporated in the DIS warning system so no need for canbus ready bulbs or additional ballasts

Cheers Spike

Thanks. Just ordered a pair in 4000k.

I would have thought that for sidelights, it's better to go for 6000k? You need to be seen and 6000k give a sharper, crisper effect? Warm-white may be only marginally brighter that the standard bulbs .....

@DJ 190 David I don’t know if my Osram 501 W5W 4000k are necessarily brighter, but they are certainly whiter than standard bulbs. A very clean look compared with how yellow conventional bulbs now appear.

PS just found these tables of colour temperatures degrees Kelvin (k) which I had saved

Colour: degrees Kelvin (K)
Candlelight 1,500K
Incandescent 2,700K
Midday sun 5,000K
Blue sky 10,000K

Lamp colour temperatures
2,200K flame
2,700K warm white
3,000K white
5,000K cool white

6,500K daylight

Apparently 4300k is the sweet spot for maximum light output and has very little sign of yellow. I do tend to prefer 6000k having said that, though may resort to 4300k for my new dipped beam(not happy with my current 35w HIDs). By contrast, my LED main beam are great.

Halfrauds for my car's, warranty means you can take them back, filament led so behave like conventional bulbs for spread.
