Front bumper with parking sensors

I want to know if Audi made for A2 front bumper with parking sensors. If they doit anyone can tell me the serial of the bumper. Thank you..

No! They did'nt. But one German 80years old A2 driver did this on his own. So you are on your own with that.

It is not that hard to do - you can use mounting kits from the A6 (old shape) to fit the sensors in the bumper, then run the wiring to the control unit (you would need to use one capable of front and rear operation).

Cheers,

Mike

Thank you all..

I didn't thought that i can't find an original front bumper with holes:)
anyway.. Can I use the plastic suports from the rear bumper?

The mounting kits which are used on the rear bumper will also work on the front bumper, yes.

Don't forget that you will need a controller capable of front and rear operation.

Cheers,

Mike

For rear bumper the system id from factory.. I want to put also on the front bumper.

If you have factory fitted rear sensors, you will need to change the controller already in the car to one that is capable of handling front AND rear sensors, such as those for the A6 and certain A4 models.

To fit front sensors, get hold of 4 fitting kits for the old-style A6 and 4 new sensors. Remove the bumper and drill 4 25mm holes in the appropriate places and attach the fitting kits, then the sensors.

You will have to build a new wiring loom to connect the sensors to the controller and that is then it - all the other connections will be there already for the rear sensors.

Cheers,

Mike

Resurrecting an old thread after searching in Google, I would like to have a go at this and was wondering if over time since 2006 has anyone managed to do it? I'm doubting it has been done other wise I would have found a thread.

Evening,

I’m looking at doing this in the next few months as I need to paint my front bumper after adding Votex to it.

I have spare original sensors and holders along with the hole cutter. Just need to work out where I will place the holes and locate the correct module/controller to do both front and rear (probably from a same era A4 or A6)

I’ll also speak to Tom about programming to see if our CCCUs are actually capable of doing it.

If it turns out that our aluminium boxes aren’t easily programmed for both front and rear PDC I must go ahead and fit the sensors anyway just for show.

Kind regards,

Tom

I don’t believe the CCCU comes into play at all, the PDCs connections to the car are the can bus and power and also the reversing sensor, I’m not sure what the a6 unit would connect to for the front but I’m guessing the speed input.
