New Member in Norfolk

Thanks to all on here for your support help and suggestions Leo is now running like a new car.
New plugs/leads/Coil pack and battery have solved all the problems and he is a joy to drive once again.
Thanks again
Excellent news. We will have to find a date when we are all free to have a mini meet in Norwich. I'm pretty free in November on weekends, except the end of year meal weekend

Yes that will be great. There are some great places to meet. Do you have a favourite place in Norwich?
Or do you fancy a trip out into the country? ..Have you tried "the Pigs" at Edgefield........? or Roman Camp at Aylmerton?
We're free most weekends... and most Mondays and Fridays unless we have our granddaughter to look after :)

Ah, I have been to neither of those places. The Roman camp sounds interesting. I'll check dates and suggest a couple @steve_c - do you have a preference?

Further info....
The Roman Camp Inn is great when the weather is warm and sunny as there a nice terrace to sit out on.....indoors is nice too but I think The Pigs is better if the weather isnt so good and at this time of the year it would be safer to look at The Pigs....sounds an odd place but really good and better atmoshere in my opinion. I would add a link to both places on here but I dont know how to do it ,so just googling them will be easier
It depends what you want really.....just a drink and a natter or a lunch drink and a natter.....OR of course Im just as happy to go somewhere in Norwich.
bring it on....

Hi Bill,

I'm also in Norwich and have recently bought a lovely A2 1.4TDi SE...
I have a few jobs to do, but after giving up the Audi company car, this seemed like the perfect replacement and very much enjoying the experience so far!!

I've heard good things about Oscar @ Gotts in Norwich but am yet to try them out.

Enjoy your car!

Jono
Hi Jono
Thanks for the info about Gotts in Norwich. I wondered if you have any experience of them yet.?
I need my Cam belt doing ....definately a job that needs doing properly.
Am enjoying the car so far.
Hope you are too.

Bill

Hi Bill, no I haven’t used them yet but will likely give them a go soon as I’ve got several Suspension creaks and groan that need attention pretty soon, so will keep you posted once I’ve got it sorted!

VAS Autos on Sweetbriar recently changed the cam belts on both my 1.6 fsi and my 1.4 petrol, so they are definitely tried and tested. Mark is really committed, reasonable and honest. He does get booked up quite heavily though.
Steve uses Yelverton garage and I had injector seals changed there when VAS were booked up. I also uses them many years ago, when I had my first A2

Cheap coil packs can also be found but should definitely be avoided!

Sorry for the thread hijack @SuttonA2 , but are they really that bad @steve_c ? I've just taken delivery of one, which of course I bought before reading this thread, from here...

You can try it and see how it goes at least. £16.99 isn't a big loss if it doesn't last long.

True. I've a misfire on cylinder 3 that I need to get to the bottom of, hence the replacement coil pack for staters, but I'll start another thread for that and leave Leo to his well-warranted limelight.
