Project A2 DUNE

Looks far less crazy on level ground now that it's settled a bit.

I've found an all terrain tyre that will fit under the arch 185/80/14. May work well with the theme. What do people think?

I think they'd work well.

Both Event and Maxxis have all terrain tyres in that size. As for wheels, there's a set of 14" VAG steelies currently on the bay with a start price of 99p and no bidders (ideal if you want to avoid damage when you're off roading); although there are plenty of 14" Polo, Fox etc alloys too.

Looking very nice, do agree higher aspect ratio tyres are needed .What about mudflaps?

I know it is a genuine roof rack, but IF it were possible to modify the attachment points and fit either polished aluminium or chrome rails parallel to the doors similar to the avants.

Is this a thing? I looking for a roof rack but the "horizontal" ones are not my cup of tea. I tried to google it but no luck so far.

Not for the A2. The roof bars plus a variety of bolt ons the only options I know of

Sorry if it's not good manners to bump an older thread, but @A2Steve I really love the final look of the car. What did you end up using for dampers and springs in the end, to get that lovely raised ride-height?
