1.4 petrol with OSS.
My original rear shocks are past the sell by date and I want to replace.
B4 seem to have the best reviews on the forum,
So who is the recommended supplier ATM.
Thanks,
Simon

Thanks, big price hike from Bilstein, so best price now £100.00 ish
It’s why I bought spare set .
There is some one else selling a pair for £78 pair on e bay free delivery or a German supplier selling full set for £149 ...£14 delivery
You could try spring loaded in Devon google them ..I bought from them last year but they hiked up their prices ..

There is something else to take into consideration regarding the shocks on the front ...top mounts probably one of the first things to go secondly would be a spring breaking and they seem to break on the front we’ve had several over the years so if you’re going to go to the trouble of stripping the front struts out of the car you just as well refresh the whole lot as labour is not cheap yes n/side is easy compared to offside but your not talking big Money for parts ( I don’t drink or smoke but let’s say cost is a couple of nights out these days ) as has been discussed ..rears is an easy job I did them years ago on one took me less than 2 hours for shocks and springs ..
It’s why I took the decision on Sally’s which had only done 56,000 miles but top mounts had gone the struts were a little rusty but bit the bullet and refreshed the whole car including lower arms and bushes which were the hollow type replaced with solid...you only do it once should make Sally’s good for another 16 years ..

I too made use of the 'paydayJan' good deal that hence bit the bullet and bought a complete set of B6 Billies, should improve the fsi handling even more.
I've just done that with a pair of B4s - bought through my completesavings account so hopefully 2x rear B4 for £60 all in. Delivery apparently in March but that'll do. Picked up the various FEBI sets of bump stops, spring mounts and so on as well last summer, will have a look at the condition of the springs although the paint marks are still bright enough so may well be fine. Many thanks to whoever posted the heads-up on the Ebay deal!

Just in case you need fronts too....pretty good deal by the look of it.
