Yea man! Full laser geo once all done ?Ooooh it'll ride beautifully but I see a lot of re-alignment needed after putting it back together ... hope you've got a tyre place with a Hunter optical system near you!
Indeed, a tough car it is. The body is just for ever! ?. Needed well deserved tlc and couldn't have been any better times than lockdown(s)..Front and back and sub-frames as well!! Be like new afterwards. This is the beauty of the A2 design and construction.
Just recently I saw a youtube vid of a 10 year old mitsubishi i-miev (electric) where the car was to be written off despite the batteries being fine because the body underneath was riddled with rust. OK it was Orkney but the numerous mud traps did not help. They did weld it up and were selling it for £4k but I would never buy or get in such a vehicle. Your 16 year old A2 (and many other in this club) show how hardy and enduring the A2 is.
But I was just doing brake service, got carried away!!! ?
Yea I know! I knew abt the bolts n alignment but I dint want only these brackets to look crap while the rest is nice n tidy! So I just cdnt help it!!! Haven't looked at the availability but I am sure there will b a right solution for this which I will look into once I get everything back in bubble wrap ?Interesting I see indeed the need to realignment on the back to due removing the axle mount brackets
Are you re-using the screws? I've tried to get hold of more but couldnt get any - seems they are discontinued. Reason for ask is that I believe they are stretch?
Well its gonna take longer than expected
