I am looking for advice on my A2 1.4 petrol 2001.
Check engine light has been on since I bought the car two weeks ago.
17598 - Linear O2 Sensor; Reference Voltage: Implausible
P1190 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
According to Audis workshop repair guide I did a measurement of the resistance between connection 3 and 4 on the lambda probe that is supposed to be between 2,5 and 10 ohms. I measure infinity (no cennection) I also measure between connection 1 and 2. Also infinity. I buy a new lambda sensor. I delete the error codes and start the engine. Check engine light comes on after a while. The same error code appears. I perform the same measurement on the new lambda sensor and I get the same readings! Is the new sensor also defect or is it a printed error in Audis original workshop manual? Maybe there is nothing wrong with the lambda sensors at all?
I take a look at group 41 in vcds and the resistance reading is blank on sensor one.
Can you help me please?
