Can anyone recommend an A2 VAG garage in the Bristol or surrounding area?

Potentially for cambelt/water pump/clutch and also front suspension replacement. I can feel the pain already
Parts I can supply myself via trade contact.

If you get really stuck I could possibly help out and I am in Trowbridge. Sadly not aware of any specialists but I do have a contact at Bristol or Tetbury Audi who could perhaps do a deal if you prefer to use a trader. They price match local quotes providing genuine parts used.

Thanks for the kind offer of help It’s not a job that I would be looking to do myself, I’m not sure if Audi would like me to supply parts.

Has anyone got an idea of the cost specialist or otherwise to replace cambelt/water pump and clutch?

I’m not even sure if I want to have the work done yet, 200,400 miles and it only cost £225 to purchase and less than £150 to repair!

Trouble is 12m MOT is making me think....
 
PC Motors, 3 Elm Road, Horfield, Bristol (0117 942 4746) are an independent VAG specialist who attract a lot of very positive reviews for their servicing work, and you may want to have a word with them.

Garages will not of course warrant parts you supply yourself, so if you want to go down that route, you should discuss with them before having any work done. They would probably have access to the same trade prices as you anyway.
 
I will do cam belt if you want to keep cost down as an option and suspension if you want. Is it a keeper or project to sell?

I forgot about those guys, I used them years ago as someone had recommended them, I might call & get a price, thanks

It’s to keep Paul, I was just a bit reluctant to spend money on it not knowing how it’s 1st mot in my ownership was going to go, luckily quite well it turned out!

Did you mean “I would” rather than “I will” ?

I didn’t in the end and sold it after a few months, the next owner did have the Cambelt and clutch done and has again sold it onward again. I’ve track of the cars whereabouts now.

I live between Bristol and Bath and have just done this on my A2 tdi plus my A3. Happy to have a go for you. ?
 
Thanks for the offer Chris however Ive had the work done including the oil pump and chain at SJB in Keynsham, and the suspension elsewhere.

Cars sold but keeping my eye out for another

What was the cost for oil pump and chain if you don’t mind me asking? May be easier if a local company to get it done on the latest a2
 
My 1.4 A2 needs a cambelt change together with water pump,tensioner etc. I live in Norton St Philip. Is there anyone who can do this locally?
