Chat Back again (again)

I simply cannot shake off my A2 addiction no matter how hard I try.

I have decided to buy back my silver TDI (once A2Steve’s lovely project car)

When I bought it last time it had already a had a LOT of money sprnt on the car and lots of nice improvements. Nathan had also spent time and money on it.

I then treated it to several further upgrades. Including a trip to see Timmus!!! Q7 MFSW, colour DIS (which is truly amazing).

I upgraded the RNSE to a mark 2 and added some extra features (thanks to help from Tom (2Work)) including speed limits signs on the sat nav. More to be added soon again thanks to help from Tom (including 7 digit post codes, Sat Nav maps via SD card, speed camera warnings etc.)

I added speech activation to the RNSE.
It already had a nice set of QT alloys and I fitted a set of quality tyres.

It already had a remap (a really good one), full Votex kit, leather seats, rear cup holder etc etc. So you can see why I was very keen to buy it back.

To me it is the next best A2 to my old white “project A2”. The current owner of that loves it so much he wouldn’t sell that back to me.

It is good to be an A2 Owner again and I will be attending socials as and when they are allowed.

So hi to those that don’t know me and hello again to those that do.

Welcome back (again) Mr B. Good to see you back behind the wheel of an A2 and posting. Hope all is well.
Yes, all is well thanks and feeding my A2 addiction makes me feel even better?
Best wishes to you and your family.

Here we go again MrB. Good to see you back...??
I guess it was only a matter of time. Did you sell your merc in the end?

Steve,

Welcome back (as already said) again sir.

I’m sure you’ve seen on the OEM Thread what has recently been ‘unlocked’ and now available for your RNS-E PU.

You have my number to chat anything through as I’m always here to help.

Kind regards,

Tom

I sold the CL500 and took a really nice 2004 C180k in part ex. It is like a brand new car and has only done 38k miles. Serviced every year at Mercedes Chelsea. Nice light grey interior and a strange paint colour. It is called Opal Green Black. The name is strange enough but it is not Green and it is not Black either, it is Blue????
Apologies for posting details of a nice German car that is NOT an A2.

But too good to sell so I will be keeping it too and since the A2 has covered 145k miles I can use that and keep the mileage down on the Merc.

Like the alloys! I thought you'd been lurking for a while. Didn't I see a post about the the dipping mirror or was I dreaming? ;)

Yes, thanks to colour DIS the passenger side mirror dips when you select reverse. (If that is what you meant?)

Yes that's what I meant. I have put some lovely as new Ronals on my car and thanks to Tom's mirror dip feature, I have not scraped them once! Welcome back. You might not remember but you helped me way back get my replacement CCCU working.

The ever evolving A2. Each club owner has added and improved to it.

From 2014 when it was purchased for a famous stock car racer (apparently)

Glad you have it again Steve. It’s hard to appreciate without seeing it in person just how clean and straight the car is (or at least was the last time I saw it ?).

PS you never really leave Steve, you are omnipresent ?

Let’s just say “different” it looked great when you did it, I am just not a red leather fan.

Great to see you back, Steve! ? You'll be able to attend the (fast approaching) get-together, here in North Wales, I'm hoping? That goes for Tom (Timmus), too! I've always thought that you are both the essence of what this fine club is all about .... See you soon and you'll be most warmly welcomed. :)
