Wowzers! I’ve just pinged Tom in his thread to confirm price and availability, worth holding a spare in stock now that I have two TDIs!This prompted me to buy a new undertray today. There are only 7 left in the Audi UK stock at that low price.....only for Tdi,s though sadly as petrol ones are NLA from Audi.
I'm sure my motor is faster now there is less wind going in to the underside - should be called a speed trayWowzers! I’ve just pinged Tom in his thread to confirm price and availability, worth holding a spare in stock now that I have two TDIs!
I've ordered from my local dealership parts dept David to save Tom the trauma of packaging and posting such an awkward item. Also there is the potential for damage during transit. Should be in tomorrow morning. ?Wowzers! I’ve just pinged Tom in his thread to confirm price and availability, worth holding a spare in stock now that I have two TDIs!
Damn as the 1.6fsi I just bought is missing the tray . Just fitted one on my 1.4tdi . £40+ vat from tps ?This prompted me to buy a new undertray today. There are only 7 left in the Audi UK stock at that low price.....only for Tdi,s though sadly as petrol ones are NLA from Audi.
A nice tidy car to go with a very nice tidy workshop - love those floor tiles.Spent the last few evenings and most of today detailing the 1.6fsi I collected last week. Wheels away being painted just now . 2 stage paint correction done . Going to apply ceramic coating tomorrow and then give the interior a full detail . Still to fully clean the underside as well . Front wishbones weren't too bad but painted them and applied waxoil internally . Calipers painted , rear axle cleaned and painted and cleaned up the exhaust . Going to try and clean up the front dampers a bit better as well.

Thanks . Built it to primarily house the other car love of my life before I caught the A2 bug ! Amazing how a garage can seem large until it gets filled with everything!A nice tidy car to go with a very nice tidy workshop - love those floor tiles.

Haven't tackled that job yet . The guy who will be doing it is currently painting the wheels and once I've got them back on will collect the car to fix the bumper .Looking great, glad it went to an enthusiast. Have you had any luck with the rear bumper dent?
Buy a diesel undertray, the only difference between petrol and diesel is the strips of insulation on the diesel, (to try and combat the noise of the diesel), the only issue is the possible flammability of the insulation. I would take a sample and take a blowtorch to it to assess and if a problem remove the insulation otherwise leave it for enhanced noise reduction. Several members have commented there is a noticeable reduction in noise when a new undertray is fitted to having previously had none.Damn as the 1.6fsi I just bought is missing the tray . Excellent thanks for the info. Did wonder what the difference would be as assumed it must be a similar shape .Buy a diesel undertray, the only difference between petrol and diesel is the strips of insulation on the diesel, (to try and combat the noise of the diesel), the only issue is the possible flammability of the insulation. At least you have probably picked the best day of the week to travel, Friday is a regular nose to tail as everyone heads North to the Lakes and Blackpool. M65, M61 then merge into the M,6 near Preston so 4 - 8 miles of tailbacks are the norm. Pretty clear in Blackpool this morning.Got up bloody early to visit @timmus Feel like a kid on Christmas morning. Here’s hoping the roads are kind ?
