Today I.....

Today I recieved wheelbearings from SKF.
Swedish SKF made the box, that said "made in Brazil", inside bearings from German FAG, made in Slovakia.
Protection of your brand name is not that important anymore..
For 20 years I was in truck R&D which became an open test house which I carried on with for another 5 years. One exhaust manufacturer sent us 3 exhaust boxes all had s different thicknesses (in microns) of zinc coating. We had to do salt mist tests on them for 2 weeks then they were inspected. The middle (Bear) was chosen as it would fall outside the warranty period whereas the others were to costly or last too long & the other would have more warranty claims against it. Same with the seat testy I did for wear.
My 52 plate A4 TDI still has the same exhaust on it as the 03 A2.

Does anyone know, if I clean the MAP sensor itself with a towel, not just the outside but the 2 wires and sensor in the housing too, can it damage it permanently? Read somewhere it should only be sprayed. Cheers

I would put this in the "Diagnostics" section. You will probably get better answers.

I would only spray it and give it 10-15 mins to fully dry off before using it again on the wires at least.
I've already cleaned it with a cloth unfortunately, so I simple spraying would've sorted the previous issue, now I'll definitely need a new one, as the sensor on this one probably got damaged from the scrubbing. Bummer.

Took this first pic of Akoya and Audrey together - I have been promised Audrey will get a wash this weekend by my bro-in-law!

Today I visited @Kleynie to have the BSS on Smurf replaced.
The original didn't work as no motor was fitted! That, and a bodged fitting job, meant that it took far longer than usual.
I am indebted to the Kleyn family for their diligent work, good conversation and cuppas!
Now all working smoothly, so on with the rest of the jobs that are needed.

Looking good
Also looks like the hand brake needs adjustment or is it just that the hand brake is pulled up hard
