I’ve been offered a double din dash from a crashed A2. The seller doesn’t know what it’s worth, want to give him a fair price but I don’t really have any idea either. Any thoughts on a suitable price? It’s a black dash in pretty decent shape. Thanks
Depends on how well its removed, if done carefully and is undamaged, maybe a 100 quid, only guessing really, if clips and such get broken, its near enough worthless.
It's the alloy cage that's the important part. With that component it's possible to convert a single-DIN dash. The cage alone should be worth around £70-£75.

Thanks guys, I've gone back to him and made an offer, hopefully all the bits are intact and it works out. If not, would you be up for selling the cage @johnyfartbox?
You may not need the cage as it should be an integral part of the complete dash, (When a dash is removed the cage is secured to the main body with clips/screws)
Ref comments by Timmus in post 12 of this link, retrofitting the cage into a single din dash is a rather involved and tricky job.
Just something to be aware of
Thanks Spike. Yes, I think getting the double din dash, ideally with the cage would be best. I've messaged Tom to see if he can pencil me in for the swap.
