A2Steve
A2OC Donor
Morning all
I have a request regarding the purchase of ECU’s direct from Pro Boost.
Adrian (Owner of Pro Boost) is very happy with the arrangement he and I have with me distributing his ECU’s in the UK. With one ‘but’; he regularly gets contacted by A2OC members looking to import the unit themselves as one off purchases. The cost of doing so is far greater as I will highlight below. As a result, people are complaining that they can get it cheaper from me and are bartering with him on price.
The price of the unit from me is just over 300euros, and this includes postage on to you.
The price from Proboost direct is:
300euros for the map,
50 euros to have the immobiliser removed (which you will need doing unless you send your original unit)
30 euros postage to Germany
30 euros return postage to UK
Total 410 euros
I get the units cheaper for a number of reasons, but its mainly because I buy on mass and have negotiated free removal of the immobiliser.
Adrian has made it very clear to me that should the requests for discount continue, then in order for people ordering direct to feel they are having a fair service, he will not drop his price, but will put up the price per unit to the UK via me.
This isn’t me concerned about my bottom line, I get a very small percentage for distribution, I just don’t want the service to A2OC members to have to end.
There will be another batch (much larger hopefully 10) heading over to Germany in March and returning in May, so the service should now be resuming following the pause after Brexit.
Stick in there, more units are coming ?
