Quite a lot of work. That's why I re-tapped the thread. It's always a balance of cost/effort.An alternative could be to get a sump from a breaker.
Bearing in mind I have never taken a sump off an A2, so have no idea about tricky it will be to swap.
I poured 3 separate hot pints of flushing oil to make sure the sump was completely clear of swarf,
even after carefully clearing any metal particles as I cut the new thread.
