This is always a favorite with A2OC members because it is a great family day out, that offers so much more than just a car show

Kimbolton Country Fayre: the date to add your diaries is Sunday 16th July. It's located in the grounds of Kimbolton castle in Cambridgeshire.
Please see their web site for up to date info on what's on for the day. Full details here ---https://kimboltoncountryfayre.com

We will have a stand that fits 12 cars so if you are bringing more than one car, please indicate when replyingn to the RSVP above. Please don't worry if you can't confirm until later though - we often have places crop up at last minute and you come and park in the main car park too.

A with last year, the organisers have e-mailed to say that cars on club display pitches need to be onsite by 11am and will need to remain static until 4pm. Therefore, if you need to arrive later than 11, or leave before 4pm, they would ask that you park in the main car park

NB: Rather than sending out wristbands, they have introduced online tickets booking via this LINK . To book, click book now then scroll down to car club members early bird, put in the number ber you want (tickets are per car, not per person) and enter KCFCCS2023 in the text box. They have increased their prices this year to £15, but booking this way brings it down to £13.50

Alternatively, pay on the day when you arrive, £15 per car. All monies raised go to Charities supported by the Rotary Club of Kimbolton and/or The Sporting Bears.

We are staying at the Holiday inn Huntingdon race course if you want to stay over . https://www.ihg.com/holidayinn/hote...teldetail?cm_mmc=GoogleMaps-_-HI-_-GB-_-XHUHR

Please note, this is the same day as the first Vorsprung International which is a shame. We are hoping to have A2OC represented at both shows this year.

Just tried booking holiday inn for this event for 15th July and nothing available.🙁

They tend to be a bit odd and not release the rooms online until a bit nearer the time. I've had it before. Nothing showing, then go in a few weeks later and its availlable

I see the early bird tickets came out today. I couldn’t work out what to put in the car club members box to allow me to buy a car club ticket, has anybody else’s been successful?

HI
Just looked on website and a very reasonable £13.50 club booking fee. But Is it a booking fee for the car and then a fee for a day pass?
Thanks

Bj, sorry I hadn't realised they had now included the ability for clubs to book online (they only had general admission initially). It is per car and that is all you need to pay. Just put A2OC in the text box when booking. I've just updated my initial post with the details . It is a great show. So much to do.

Hi, sorry they were going to email me.once they had that set up. You can just put A2OC in. I've updated the initial post with this info. Thank you for picking it up T

Hi, I have today received this email from the organisers

"Hello charity and classic car enthusiasts
I am delighted to announce the availability of online ticket booking for classic car clubs. This service is live now.

Tickets can be booked and bought individually by each car club member, so club organizers no longer need to distribute wristbands.

Club members can book here:

https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/kimbolton-castle-rotary-club

Members will need to use the following code to access club stand tickets: KCFCCS2023

Club members can book in advance to access the early bird price of £13.50 until 18th June 2023."

I will update the original post with the correct code for the tickets.
Thank you Teresa

This is a call up for any more attendees for Kimbolton on Sunday 16th July, and a heads-up to those who are already coming :)

So far I know of 7 cars coming, but only 5 are registered on this thread. Please could I ask everyone who is already coming to register in the RSVP box at the top, to help me keep track of which cars and people to expect on the day. The RSVP may not show on Tapatalk - a PC or tablet would work better!

We've been allocated a stand of up to 15 spaces, so there's still plenty of room for anyone who's still considering whether to join us. You'd be most welcome and again, please register above before the end of next week :)

The Kimbolton event no longer has wristbands that are sent out in advance. You can still pay on arrival, but it will speed things up at the entry lanes if you have pre-booked your car with their website. The URL is https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/kimbolton-castle-rotary-club, select 'Car club members, per car' and use the code KCFCCS2023. The cost has gone up this year to £15 per car, but that's still great value for a classic car show with a full day's programme of entertainment for the whole family.

We will meet as usual from 9am at the Brampton Hut services on the A1M/A14 junction, in the car park behind the McDonalds. We'll aim to set off to convoy in around 9.30-9.45am. If you're planning to arrive directly at Kimbolton instead of joining the convoy, you'll need to know where the Club stand will be, so read on :)

This year we have been allocated an area close to the house, amongst the trees. It's Area 7, in the Circle. Our instructions are to use the middle payment lane and turn right where the paths to the display areas diverge - follow the red and then the pink arrows on the map below.

We're then in the first area on the right behind the trade stands, amongst the trees, opposite the Triumph Stags which are in Area 1.

Please note that all cars for Club stands need to be on site by 11am and, due to local Council safety restrictions, are not allowed to leave the grounds until 4pm.

I'll PM everyone who's coming with my mobile number a few days beforehand, in case of disruption to your travel plans on the day. I look forward to seeing you all there :)
