Thanks Ian:I guess nothing's completely impossible, for example I know someone in Germany who fitted an OSS to a tin-roof 1.2TDI. But you'd be the first person to fit climate to a non-climate car! It must be about as close to not-possible as you're going to get. So much easier to just buy a climate-equipped one in the right colour and swap over any other goodies onto it.
I am diffidently not doing that then, if its going to cost me my wife and all my other possessionsA friend of mine did exactly this when his high spec car was destroyed by a bin lorry.. He bought a replacement poverty spec car and spent a lot of time striping each and swapping over the better items. He literally changed just about everything from one shell to the other even down to wiring looms. In the end it looked like he had changed the colour of his original car and the number plate which he later replaced with a private plate.
About a year after it was complete his wife divorced him and took everything!
So yes it is possible with a lot of time space and patience. If it is something that you really need to do then go ahead just be prepared for hidden consequences.
Sounds like a good idea. I will probably be down to see you this Saturday if you are free. Thanks Phil:
Maybe We discuss it over a coffee one day & see if its worth doing.
