Hi there folks. My a2 came to a sudden stop the other week. Battery and all sounded strong but the engine just wouldn’t start back up again. Mechanic diagnosed a bad fuel pump. Replaced that but it still won’t start up. Was reading about the fuel pump relay at times being the secret culprit. Any advice on what to do is greatly appreciated. Having a garage go through a stream of unnecessary fixes over the next month would be great to avoid ; )
Ps..there is a small wire that is plugged in to the front of the engine. If one looks down from above , it’s a bit more to the right side of the block under the spark plugs a bit. Small Wire into a thin flat end. I ask because this seemed loose when I initially looked at the engine but I couldn’t find out what exactly it was.
Many thanks!
