Wanted: A2 Specialist in central Scotland

Looking for recommendations for specialists who know their way round an A2, in particular somebody who could swap out a V68 motor without taking the whole dash out. I'm in West Lothian but happy to travel to Edinburgh, Fife or North Lanarkshire to take the car to someone with a great reputation.

I’m going to try A for Audi in Clydebank next service. A mate recommended them for his A4 and A6. I had my A2 at them once before and they identified the weird noise as starter squeal (which I since learned a lot more about in here). Seemed like pretty good customer service and they offer to pick your car up in city centre glasgow and return it there.

I’ll let you know how i get on in about 8000 miles or so if you are still looking.

I'm in Fife misano and as you know travelled to stoke to get this done. If you ask anywhere else they will insist the dash needs to come out. Depressing but true.

I would second A for Audi, in Clydebank. Had some work done a long time ago and most of their guys are ex VW-Audi trained

Might be a little out of date now but Star Performance worked on my old Audi and I always had great service from Jim and Brian. They are in Kirkaldy....

Premier VW Audi in Rutherglen, just used them for my wife's Suzuki and very pleased. I've spoken to him about the A2 and he loves them. well worth speaking to to sound out

Reviving an old thread after trying to book a service today. Have used Autohaus Edinburgh (VW / Audi specialists) for the last 8 years to service our Mk6 Golf GTD. Seemed logical to ask them to carry out a service and mot. Very surprised when the answer was “No, we don’t work on cars older than 2007” (15 years old!) This comes just after Mazda Newbridge has just serviced and mot’d my 27 year old Mazda MX-5 ! ( no advisories by the way).

Quick look on my phone, found this old thread, drove the 10 mins to AVW and car booked in for Mid-October! Will report back how I got on.

Quoted me a good price for Engine Oil and Filter Service on RS6 Avant that I thought would be needed when we were staying at airbnb in Cellardyke / Anstruther in June. I would have let them do it but as it turned out I had it done before we went up there. Whole Family trip to Cellardyke for another week end of September.

AVW are ace. I take my A2 and all of the other Audis I've had there too, they're great.

Oil change minor Service and MOT carried out yesterday at AVW Edinburgh, all went smoothly with no issues and no advisories. (£215-total). Many thanks for the recommendation.
