Amusing MOT Story

This year's MOT was destined not to happen.
First garage on Monday, brake testing machine broke down
Next three garages fully booked til Thursday
Setting off noticed flat tyre
Pumped up tyre enough to reach garage but late so missed the slot
Several hours later...hooray, Grey2 passed

with these advisories...

Large nail in tyre

Unable to check under bonnet as it is fixed down...!

Good result and tyre also fixed

Unable to check under bonnet as it is fixed down...! ..........................LOL, that made me spit my beer out all over my keyboard.........lol

Strictly speaking though, it's true - there's no disassembly or removal of parts allowed during the test, so unlike a normal bonnet, which remains fixed to the car, the A2s bonnet can only be taken off completely, which can't be done and still stick to the letter of the rules.

Thanks Michael. That explains the confusion when I thought he meant he wanted me to remove the bonnet!
