Outside air temperature sensor

I did try a forum search for: outside air temperature sensor

Too many occurrences of “temperature” and “sensor”...

Please can someone tell me where the outside air temperature sensor is for the A2? I don’t have an issue; just interest.

from the above it appears to be in front of the radiator which would tally with the one on my A6.

did you try "external" in the search term? Hope this helps.

It sits behind the long rectangular grille between the fog lights (or the fog light blanking plates). Just sits in a little plastic turret - you can see it very nicely in this pic (and the upper sensor is for the air conditioning).
