I am also having the same problem this morning.

OK, I’ve finally fallen out of love with my A2

I fall out with mine on a regular basis. To me it's a frustrating car to own. Amazingly versatile, better to drive than you'd ever expect, still pretty good on fuel etc etc. This is tempered by the fact there is always something needing fixed or replaced, and it's never ever cheap. As far as...

1.4 TDI - lack of power

All I did was stand up after sliding myself out from under my VW Camper I'm restoring. I did twist a bit, bad move!

1.4 TDI - lack of power

Paid for an MRI myself as the so called consultant said it was a waste of time! It definitely wasn't. I've got a bucket handle tear in my meniscus which basically means that there's a flap of torn cartilage that's getting caught up in the joint along with another loose bit floating around and...

1.4 TDI - lack of power

Thanks for the info folks. Unfortunately just after posting this I managed to damage my knee and I'm still hobbling round on crutches. I'll get to trying your recommendations eventually.....

1.4 TDI - lack of power

Thanks Jeff, I'll get a good looks at it next week. It's not been re-mapped and a recent scan showed up nothing hence my post. There's a dyno in Glasgow that'll check it for me if the inter cooler check over doesn't help. Cheers Kenny

1.4 TDI - lack of power

Hi, Had to have the head gasket replaced about 18 months ago, after I got it back it felt a bit flat power wise compared to before. Had a chat with the place that did the work, they re-checked everything and said that they couldn't find anything wrong. I know somebody that works there and I'm...

Long distance drive - any tips?

Well after much messing around with sealant which made matters worse rather than better we ended up getting a new head gasket fitted. The mechanic confirmed that the gasket had gone between cylinders 2-3 and also heading towards the turbo. I'm not too sure what he meant by the turbo bit but...

Long distance drive - any tips?

Thanks Spike. I called the mechanic after I got your message but it was already done. I'll keep an eye on it.

2 EV cars in one minute

That reminds me of the Ecomobile, another seemingly great idea that never caught on.

Long distance drive - any tips?

I've not had this done yet, we've decided to try K-Seal in it first as it's a very minor leak. I'll post up if it works or not.

2 EV cars in one minute

I see a fair number of those Nissan Leaf's up here. Also lots of little electric Mitsubishi's, mainly council operated. Passed my first Ampera the other day too. These electric cars are becoming pretty popular. Considering one myself, fancy the Leaf but I need a bit more range yet before...

    Information Quattro?!

That's strange, I too have a Y plate Cobalt Blue (I think) A2 which has a quattro badge on the boot. Never been to Wales in it. The quattro badge was on it when I got it, haven't taken it off as I figured best left alone, looks like it's been there for a long time. Must admit it got me...

    600 miles from a tank???

Nice one. I've only ever acheived 476 miles, took 32 litres to fill it back up. That bigger tank would make all the difference.

    Doors Automatically shut!!!!

What surprises me reading this is that the fire brigade came out to assist, very surprised at that. Hope you took out breakdown cover after your experience? I too have had problems caused by the auto lock feature when I didn't realise how it worked. Now I know about it, it's not a problem...

Anyone actually understand the Audi lineup nowadays...?

It's actually been painted, it's a one off and is the only one in the world with that paint. Needs some stripes if you ask me.

Anyone actually understand the Audi lineup nowadays...?

That'll be Murray Motors? That's where I bought my Evora. Their after sales service really is superb. There has been a few problems with my Evora but the service manager in there couldn't have been more helpful. He has an Evora himself and is quite an enthusiast. I reckon that matt black...

Anyone actually understand the Audi lineup nowadays...?

When I had the 17" wheels on mine it was great in the bends, plenty feed back through the wheel and it felt pretty well balanced, not front end heavy like the bigger Audis. The 15" wheels and higher profile skinny tyres have kind of spoiled that, now it just slides about a lot and the steering...
