Adding a2oc to tapatalk app (iOS)

In the last week, a2oc has disappeared from my tapatalk app but I’m unable to add a2oc again - either by clicking the tapatalk pop-up on the a2oc site (when viewed through Safari), or by searching for and re-adding a2oc in the app by using the search terms “a2oc” “audi a2” or “a2 owners”. Is...

Yes, it includes everything. The hitch is removable and lockable too.

I want to fit a towbar but where can i get one from and fitted (hull uk)

Yes it did - I had it fitted by Gary at B&F autos. The most difficult part was apparently getting the electrics wired as the instructions were inconsistent. This was possibly because the seller replaced the standard 7 pin electrics with a 13 pin set that I had asked for. Pricing-wise, be warned...

Good that they featured the A2, but bad that they lazily got two things wrong in such a short piece! The piece on the TT also suggests it was A3 inside, whereas in reality it was A3 underneath, which made it mainly Golf underneath. 90mpg+ only applies to the 3L which the UK never had, and yes...

No they don’t, this is effected by fitting extra springs to the struts, which over time can cause cracking at the strut mount points and water leakage . The springs also mean the boot then needs slamming to shut. Best avoided ! The fact SGS list 3x different struts for the A2 (including a set...

Please don’t anybody use SGS ever again - their struts are the wrong spec and their customer service is awful. Stabilus off eBay are the way to go.

Agreed - @2work your attention to custom detail is something else!

They are great, though a safety point I would make is that if you fit and then remove them, remember to reinstate the screws holding the seat brackets in - easy to overlook!

It’s a standard 5 speed box with a sixth added, the work being done (in previous ownership) by a German contractor to A2 Cars in Milton Keynes. More details on another thread; I’ve no idea when the last FSI conversion was but probably disappeared along with A2 Cars..

Handed over “Bluey” to its new owner @sixerj [emoji41] always a pleasure when another more capable enthusiast picks up the reins (in-between Porsche 914-6 restoration duties)! Now down to just the 1x 6-speed dolphin grey FSI, that only wants for headlamp washers and a headlining + OSS service.

Tom Love the custom (gorgeous) car image - does it animate to show the doors opening too? [emoji41]

Is it time to let go?

A thumbs up here for B&F Autos - I’ve been using them for the last 4/5 years and can genuinely say that they have spotted and addressed things that other A2 specialist garages clearly haven’t, while also being entirely pragmatic in their recommendations. I live in SE London and as we don’t need...

What would be your dream engine swap?

Although, the latest (Mazda) tech treats the rotary purely as a range extender.. the older way sounds more enjoyable, but would a 30mpg A2 miss the mark?

What would be your dream engine swap?

It was never publicly produced, but the 1.4 litre twin turbo V6 that smart made for the prototype smart roadster V6 would be a laugh.. 170 bhp, 220 Nm torque, total weight around 120kg. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Nice one! I’ve calculated that at my current rate of mileage, it will take my FSI another 20 years to get to 160k! How many death pipes is that.. [emoji6]

Boot lid not closing smoothly for years issue SOLVED

A heads up here for anybody, everybody to avoid SGS Engineering for struts at all costs, unless you like a world of pain! They seem to market three different specs of struts for the A2, including an item at £626 (!) per strut.. https://www.sgs-engineering.com/car-boot-tailgate/audi/a2 I...

I used to drive a smart roadster coupe, which seemed to be easily spotted because of how distinctive it looks. Mind you, even though it was low, it was still possible to lose an even lower Ariel Atom in the side mirrors. Perhaps we all drive more defensively / proactively in smaller cars by...

    Today I.....

That’s alien to any of us petrol owners! High 40’s in an FSI with mixed driving, although sticking at 60 mph can improve that to high 50’s. I do often wonder if a petrol A2 would have been more efficient as a small turbocharged petrol rather than fancy FSI, but we'll never know. The petrol...

    Rear reading lights

I’d like to replace the standard rear interior light with a wider part from an A6 that has reading lights. Does anyone have suggestions on how best to enlarge the aperture without risk of messing up the head lining? It’s a job I won’t be able to easily go back on! I haven’t yet checked the...

Death Pipe remanufacture in Stainless Steel. Hopefully now available.

I’d be keen provided reliability wasn’t in doubt and this new pipe reduced installation costs. I had one done recently and the part was around £60 with labour around £300, so it’s a question of whether to fit one once (assuming the gaskets can last a lifetime..) or budget to have it replaced...
