Hey, I sold my working OSS to Philip and helped install it. He used foam strips that was close to OEM stuff. Send him a PM, should be able to tell you where he got it. Thanks Max

    RIDICULOUS Car insurance!

Hey Sarge, I feel your pain. It's one of the prices we pay for living in London! I have 15 years no claims and no points and pay near 1k for my 1.4 petrol. Some London postcodes are particularly bad. I suspect in some cases this has something to do with local car crime rates and crash for...

    Which A2 should I buy?

Hey Sunsurfer, I had a brokensky for years, which was ok until the sunny months, when it was really annoying. I finally decided to get ths whole roof replaced at around 600ish. That's 150 for used roof off ebay and 450 for install with A2cars. I did remove/install the headliner myself...

    Today I.....

Hey Steve, I was also surprised by how substantive the units are. I managed to source the full kit including bolts, loom, ecu and brackets. Since the roof liner had to come, I decided to use the opportunity to DIY re-trim the panel in alcantara. It looks ok but nowhere near the quality...

    Today I.....

I finally have sideguards after spending ages collecting parts. Most of parts had been gathering dust until Tom expertly installed and coded the kit on Wednesday. He's attention to detail is second to none and he's one of the few I'd trust with this job. Unfortunately I forgot to take pics...

    Washer leak

I had the same problem and tried everything but nothing quite worked long term. I eventually replaced the split section with clear tubing and jubilee clips but that also failed. In the end bought a whole assembly from breaker and replaced the lot from grommet section to washers. BTW - If...

Audi A2 from Poland, 1.4 TDI, 90 PS, codename ATL.

Hey Let us know what the navigation function is like. I considered doing this to my A2 and bought all the bits for it but in the end went with an RNS e. If I get a diesel I might put in the RNS D but would be good to see it in action? Great work by the way! Max

    Removing Alternator - Stuck

I'm sure a lot of work in the engine bay is easier with the front end off, there isn't much wiggle room and my arms are pretty shredded as a result!

    Removing Alternator - Stuck

Just manged to get the alternator off. For those doing this on a 1.4 petrol you only need to screw the top bolt back in and tap it a few times to move the top bush out. The bushes are made of steel so a bit of WD40 did the trick. You can then use a piece of wood to hammer outwards on the...

    Removing Alternator - Stuck

An old post but I'm having the same problem getting my alternator out. Tried the suggested tapping bolts back but could only tap one due to clearence and it seemed to make little difference. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Max
