He's not had ownership of it for at least 10 years now, I'm not sure where it went but nice to hear it's still on the road :) It was a large part of why I bought one. It had a broken sky throughout his ownership from what I remember.

That car belonged to a good friend of mine, although his wife used it more generally speaking. You just had me rummaging back through my old VW show pics to check the reg, it was a nice trip down memory lane! Here it is in 2008 at Ultimate Dubs on a nice set of Porsche splits

Today is somewhat bitter sweet as I've just watched Hue drive away for the last time. I was up early this morning to give him a final wash once taken out of the garage. I do love a clean car and I've been admiring him till the new owner arrived. I'm sure @chumsofmanutd will be along shortly...

Thanks, I do love both of those racing disciplines (Generally I follow F1, WEC and at times V8 Supercars as the racing is wheel to wheel) an F1 race weekend at SPA is certainly on my list for one day. I believe it's over 30m elevation change from Eau Rouge to Raidillon and over 100m elevation...

Spa is my favorite track too. I've never been there, one day hopefully.

Haha! :) It was great fun, Sim Racing is a bigger hobby then you might think. I raced against some quite famous drivers if you're into racing (lots use it as a training aid), took part in several 24 hour races as part of a team working together to drive 1 car. There was a fantastic community...

Ask and ye shall receive :) This shows the rig in action quite well, although no sound I'm afraid. No laughing at the gloves, they're required! The wheel was build by me (from plans and diagrams available) and the motor was a direct drive from a CNC machine, capable of 20nm and the pedals...

A pencil eraser, or a 'magic eraser' will remove rather than cover, although be gentle with the latter as they can be quite abrasive :)

I really like them Steve, I’m not sure about the polished section/lip personally. I think I’d personally prefer them all bronze. They’re a nice looking spike design though.
