    TDI90 engine noise

It could also be that the alternator is short circuiting or similar since when the high noise is coming, the lights in dash dim, and the rpm goes up. That being said, I believe also the diesel knackering has increased and it could be that I have multiplie issues.

    TDI90 engine noise

Yes thinking the same, you can see the lights dims in speedo on startup so something is going on with the voltage. Would be interesting to remove the aux belt. It could also be AC comp. since it is not blowing cold, and is the coolant also the lubricant for the comp.? So loss of coolant, loss...

Potential Bose killer - easy install

About DAB aerial I just used a adapter so I use the original OEM arial also for the DAB. Not perfect as you need a strong signal. But I did not prioritize this as I normaly listen to Spotify, or stream radio via the phone Recommend the subwoofer, and removal of bass from the door speakers...

Ignition live for aftermarket radio and display

I got my switched 12V from the light-switch simply because it is close to the radio and easy to pull wire.

    Putting oil in directly

My tip would be to just blind off the whole thing and fill oil using the standard oil filler cap located on top. This is how I do on my TDI.

    Bose speakers. Are they better/different?

I have had both standard and Bose. No point with Bose, time has run out for that system. Its overhyped, spend instead money on OSS or good looking rims from A1. Purchase a modern headunit that have all the x-over you can dream about, and add a powered subwoofer. Remove everything below 40-50hz...

    Engine mount 2005 1,4TDI

Believe it has never been stock in Autodoc, so the dealership is the only source most likely. «Cheaper» from german dealerships.

This is not good reading A2 ers.

Happen to me as well. Typically if car has been standing out in the rain for a long time and discs starts to rust against the pads. You would know when it happens as the you would need to pump the brake pedal to compensate the sudden longer travel of the calipper piston. Also the brakes will...

    What about this a2 ?

My tip would be to call the Audi dealership and ask. They will look it up.

Handbrake cable 2005 TDI90 with disc

Yet another thread on this topic, sorry for that! Filling diesel I noticed the smell of heat and rear right wheel was HOT. The right cable is somewhat locking up. Trying to search the forum, also googling the topic, did not give any firm answers. Does anyone know with certainty what parts...

Anything to watch out for with a oil filter change?

Yes! And save you a tons of work. You can cut a piece out of the tray to let the oil out better, otherwise some oil will be left on top of the tray so clean after draining, and perhaps expect a few drips on the asphalt the next day. But you should also replace air filter every second year and...

In Norway you can online, using the reg.nr, find the name and city of the owner (and all previous owners). Can you do that in UK as well?

    CD Player Upgrade

If you can live with the look of aftermarket, I would change to a new 1 DIN headunit. Much better than any of the original Audi headunits.
