Service Offered: A2 OSS Sunroof Repair

So far I have no update I'm afraid. When the service resumes, it will be offered in the same way I have always offered it, possibly with different pricing. This does mean that parts will not be available to purchase separately.

Service Offered: A2 OSS Sunroof Repair

Hello all, The need to update this thread has arisen. I've recently finished my second engineering degree and secured a good full time job, therefore, I am unfortunately discontinuing this service. That being said, I am aware that there are still bookings to fulfill, and for this reason, I am...

Brooklands Motor Museum German Day - Sunday 1st October

Gutted we missed this, especially as its only 15 mins from home. We had an OSS repair that couldn’t wait, so we opted to keep the OSS cars alive. Maybe next year ….. Ian

Also, to be able to go onto the Concorde at Brooklands you have to book, and it’s extra. But definitely worth it. There are numerous other aeroplanes too. Ian

Fitting RNSE into a Double Din Dash

Can I just add that I have done this a few times now using a hacksaw. I do own a Demel, but find the hacksaw gives good straight lines with minimal filing. Not saying Tom is wrong, but if you don’t own a Demel then a hacksaw is as good, just be careful! Thanks to Tom for helping me too. Ian

    Audi A2, Project ULEZ

I replaced all window switches on my daughters A2, the main drivers door switch was a cheap one from Amazon and it’s still going strong two years later, I think it was 15 quid. Worth a try at that price. Ian

Electro Mechanical Rear Brake Caliper Rewind Tool / Software ?

I use icarsoft on my Porsche, it does most VW group vehicles and is cheap on Amazon. What car are you working on? Ian

Android auto + parking sensors + rear camera. Am i asking for too many things?

Yes, I did a full thread on it. Just search by my user name, it was around 2018 from memory.

    Renewing suspension

I’m in the opposite camp. The suspension on an A2 is no different to any other VW group car of that era. Assuming they are not changing the front control arms then there is nothing unusual at all. It’s a decent diy job if you have basic tools. Don’t forget to have the geometry checked...

    A2 1.4 petrol - Faulty CCCU suspected

Classic symptom of broken wires at the hinge grommet. You can pull back the rubber 'bellows' from the body to the door to reveal broken wires. I've seen this many times now, not only on A2's but also on an A3 we repaired recently. If they are broken, its a simple case of removing the loom...
