reverse light

I have just purchased a 1.4 Tdi SE and the main lights and reversing lights have all of a sudden stopped working. I have checked the bulbs and the fuses and all are ok. many ideas what’s going on? thanks

Hey guys, This is my first post here so forgive me for any ignorance. A slight problem with my '51 1.4 Tdi, the reverse light is jammed on. I'm looking for a quick fix solution as I'm off to university in the next few days and don't fancy night driving blinding other drivers behind me...
