rns-e programming into a2

I have just recently wired in a RNS-E unit into my G/F Audi A2 1.6 FSi. I have difficulty getting the front panel button lights to glow red and also the Drivers console D.I.S visual navigation graphics do not work. Does anybody have any suggestions regarding the problem and how to fix it...
