1,2 TDI clutch/ gearbox problems

Does the garage have VCDS or the Audi equivalent? Note that the VW equivalent is not suitable - my local VW garage always had to borrow the equipment from their Audi partners. If they don't have either, they won't be able to fix your car.

No they do not. They asked someone else to do diagnostic for them, but I do not know if it was VW or Audi.
They checked the car today and they think it is faulty clutch. It might be just a guess though..

Update: car is fixed. Clutch was exchanged, but than the garage was not able to perform basic settings. Car was than brought to Audi dealership where they did set it up.
Total cost: over 1000 euros.

Moral of the story: I will never again let the garage without prior experience with 3L engine work on this car.
