yes

after much battling if you choose to import the remarkable 1.2 TDi as i've done, you will find insuring it much easier than when I first brought one over - check the ABI website:

http://www.abi.org.uk/carinsurance/

search for Audi A2 and result:

AUDI A2 TDI 1 1191cc 2002   5 - Diesel Manual 04032101   G

G is for import

The 1.2 TDI has got rather skinny 145/80R14 tyres.

You could put on some bigger wheels and tyres.

VW Polo wheels with 165/70R14 tyres or Audi A2 wheels with 175/60R15 tyres should fit.

Yes but then you'd increase rolling resistance and drag - even changing to the square shouldered winter tyres reduces mpg by around 10%

Also tracking this car around Castle Combe proved what an amazing little chassis this car has - the race pro instructor managed 1:50 ish - I got a best of 1:55 lap time - compare this to an RS4 with 400 more bhp times of 1:30 ... and my tyres were'nt worn thro either!

Would love to have taken a chipped 1.4 TDi Sport round tho!
