I need to service the A2 next weekend. I just wondered what the replacement interval is for the fuel filter please? This is the earlier metal canister type, not the paper element version. On my A4 it's every 20k, is it the same?

Hi Spartacus,
Every 40K is the recommendation.
I run a variable service interval, with Long life oil, but change every year (about 12K).
I change fuel filter bi-annually (so about 24K).

Thanks guys for the quick response... that's saved me a few pounds, plus I hate doing the fuel filter. Still better than the revised paper filter element (not unlike a scene from the Poseidon Adventure) with diesel when it comes to changing it!
Mustang - it was on a long life regime when I bought it at 50k, but the oil and filter gets changed every 10-12k with Castrol Edge 5w30. Now on 107k and counting.

Interesting, I swear my service book says change the fuel filter every 2 years or 20k miles :S
