1.4 TDI New Owner

Hello everyone, Just bought myself a 03 1.4 TDI. Previous owner seems pretty tasteful. A few bits to sort out but felt good while driving 50 miles home. Considering a remap soon. But first a full service and a properly clean up.

Welcome aboard I noticed that one for sale - an interesting colour scheme, I assume the red is a wrap?

Wells it’s an interesting mix all red bits are replacement parts except for both rear panels which are currently wrapped. The frame is metallic black in colour.

Interesting I see they've wrapped or painted the black plastics at the bottom of the body too. Some good matching on those bits at least, I didn't see what it's like on the rear quarters though.

Good luck with it and if you need to acquire any used fixtures and fittings, one of our ethical recyclers Andy @Clackers is quite close to you in Colwyn Bay.

That’s great thanks. @Clackers is close to my work place then. The immediate one to begin with is wiper arm. Although it’s not touching the windshield it’s quite close.

Andy might have one in, but your best bet for that would be Paul @depronman who refurbishes them. He has stock and can send you one better than new at very reasonable cost, plus a deposit which you get back when he receives your old one.
