1.4se Petrol Random Misfires HELP!

Hi all,

I've posted before concerning this problem which I originally thought was the wiring loom, but ive repaired this and this is not the problem.

I bought the car in January these are the problems.

Im getting 3 codes
16684- Random Misfire
16685- Cylinder 1 misfire
16686 Cylinder 2 misfire

This only happens when its warming up at idle and it doesn't happen everyday. My GF uses the car everyday for work and although it runs rough at idle when warming up to 90' the engine light comes on approx every 4 days, and cylinders 1 and 2 stop working, we then just plug the diagnostics reader and clear the code. Its been happening for months and after some research I changed the EGR valve to see if that helps... It doesnt the new EGR valve even gave a new fault code 17811, so i've changed it back to the original.
Ive changed the plugs, coils, leads and injectors.

Can anyone shed any light on this, as im tempted to change the Head Gasket as i've read:
"If two adjacent cylinders are misfiring, it's likely the head gasket between them has failed"
Fair enough! But would this only cause a misfire before 'full operating temp'?? And how would you prove the Head gaskets blown between the cylinders?

There's also seems to be an oil leak, as when I removed the under car cover underneath the engine I could see loads of oil all over the sump and floor.
I had the oil changed in January and the Dipstik shows oil, but im not sure how reliable that front dipstik is, bad design! I see there is another dipstik point behind the cambelt but theres no actual dipstik in there??? Maybe the previous owner lost it?

My mates keep telling me to sell this lemon but I just wouldn't feel right about passing my problems on to some poor unsuspecting fella. Karma is a bitch and im sure the Polish that sold me this will eventually get his bout of bad luck sometime, hopefully x10!

Any help would be much appreciated...:):):)

PS: 62000 miles

I had a simillar experience on my 1.6fsi - Change coil packs on cyls 1 and 2... assuming that engine has coil pack that is?
