1.6FSI error-codes: scrap or save?

Just scanned my sister friend car for codes as the car goes into limpmode, and does not run stable on idle. 7 codes on engine, all of them can be deleted but guess they will be back as soon as the car is driven again.

Do not know the 1.6FSI myself and will certainly google the codes myself later. Just checking if someone experienced would immediately say that this engine is way too BAD to bother any effort to repair...

You must decide:
1 Do you want to save it?
2 Can you afford to fix it?
3 Is it worth saving (condition, mileage etc)?
Mac.

Even from the short time I've been on this forum, I recognise a couple of "classics' there.

Needs some money and a lot of time thrown at it for sure, but as Mac says, it could well be worth it if the car is not already one wheel in the scrapyard?

1) not my car, not up to me
2) same as above
3) depends naturally on what it takes to get it fixed. The car has a working OS but that is basically all there is

this is Norway.
A mechanic hour is the better part of €200.
Parts are expensive. Electric cars are cheap.

The fuel pressure is the one that clinches it for me and says "this car might be saveable" but it's going to be with a serious amount of time, effort and money. Cylinder 2 may well be an injector.

This is a 2004 FSI... so its value is probably better than a 1.4. Working it would be a 25000NOK car, but it's not. I suspect @Joga has a better idea of values than I, and bildeler doesn't really help. What do they want to do with it? Where is it?

Audi dealer will charge €75/hour. 1st generation BMW i3 is about €8500 used.

About 25kNOK is correct in working order. They want to sell it I think because it would be too expensive for them to have it repaired. Located in south of Norway.

only €75? that's a bargain, it's well over €100 here, which is why I figured it was more expensive the further west you go ;)

Costs for fixing are going to be of the order of 15k NOK if you ask me - a high pressure fuel pump (or at least the seals), injectors, MAF, probably the intake manifold and then the sensors. The parts will be expensive, the time even more so. I might have been interested if Sweden wasn't off-limits at the moment...

What colour is it? Thinking on its panel, door and interior donor potential.
But then I wont make it into Norway anyway, I guess.

Hi, my car is a 2004 Colour Storm 1.6 FSI and had more or less the same codes as yours. Check and clean ALL earth points in engine bay first as too many faults showing bad connections, this is a common failure as bolts are steel and bodywork is aluminium which causes a reaction to each other forming corrosion.

Do not have the time; I am just getting rid of it
