Hi . I have an iPodadapter . it should charge the ipod always when attached but instead it drains its battery from time to time:-(. I think it may be because the adaptor has its +12V to a lead that it related to the ignition??
If I take the +12 V somewhere independent from ignition; always ON (ie. lighter-outlet fuse?) the ipod will charge always ?

Am I right or wrong??

Wrong!

iPod and iPhone charging is a pain since Apple changed the charging system on the later generations.

Newer versions are 5V dependant - older ones 12V. Your best bet to avoid damage to the car or the iPod is to buy a specific charger or adapter, made for your iPod.

misunderstanding?:-/

Hi . I´m talking about a Pioneer iPod Adapter/Charger made for ipod, and I´m using an iPod photo. What my ipod needs to charge is not the issue here. It´s this Pioneer adaptor should have +12V all time, and i ask again : can it be connected to lighter fuse + ?

Sorry, misunderstood your original post.

Yes, you need to find a post ignition 12V source.

Mike

Can't see why not mate, Can't see it drawing much of a high current therefore should be ok.
