Good morning,

I have searched the entire forum for the weight of 15 "standard wheels (without tire) and I can't find it. Does anyone know the weight of these wheels?

I doubt about putting the Pepperpots to save weight, but I like the originals design much more and I want to know the differences of weight to know if it compensates me.

In a toyota Yaris of 2008, I put the wheels of the Mini with a design similar to pepperpots (weighed 6.4 kg in 15 ") and the consumption dropped more than expected (about -10%) and improved both braking and acceleration.

Thanks!!

I do not know the exact weight but pepperpots should be considerably lighter. I think those are one of the lightest wheels on the market.

There's very little difference in weight between your wheels and pepperpots. I'll try to find the information (or weigh both on Sunday though they have tyres fitted).
Update: various places suggest 8Z0601025A weigh 6.4Kg.

The right tyres will make far more difference to both ride quality and fuel efficiency than changing wheels.

If you research tyres a little the information is plain to see as it now lists wet grip, fuel efficiency and noise levels clearly for you to compare.

I personally use Camskill.co.uk which is a good starting point for reference.

The correct tyre pressure will also make a huge difference ?

I changed the wheels on my A2 just after I got it, as one of the wheels didn't match. It had 3 5-spoke 16" and one 6-spoke 16". I'm looking for a 5 spoke to match at some point. but they seem to be quite rare. I replace the 16" wheels on it with the ones in your photo, as I like the design and heard they were quite a lot lighter. The attached photos show the difference between the two,
