So today I finally completed the change from 17" sports wheels to 16". I had originally been going to go for 16" SE wheels and bought a set from another member but after seeing the 16" 7J TT wheels on one of Steve Birchall's cars I changed my mind. Thanks to Mr Birchall's very generous nature a deal was done and the TT wheels became mine.
Upon fitting the 16" wheels it was very noticeable how much lighter they were than the 17" versions, hopefully this will help a bit with the weight of the car. It was the first time I had used the Audi jack and I was also amazed how light this was. Those Audi engineers really didn't like steel!
Anyway, after a quick spin round the block the car rides the potholes much better now and I have to say that I prefer the look. My old wheels were a little bit scruffy but I think the new ones really suit the A2 and look fantastic.
