175 65 15 Any good?

Sorry, I should have said original as opposed to standard.
No problem at all. The tyres you mention will still fit fine but the 185's do offer a little more rim protection on the wider 6j rims but then again that can differ greatly by the make and model tyres you choose as they are all quite different ?

The standard rim width for 175/60R15 tyres is 5J, and the approved rim width range is 5J to 6J.

Approved Rim Width Range (inch) 5.0-5-6.0 for 175/60R15

Car manufacturers will sometimes use a different rim width to the standard rim width, but it's rare for them to use a rim width more than 0.5" different from the standard rim width.

Under reads? So when your speedo says 70, you're actually travelling 71mph?

I've never known an A2 speedo to under read before, didn't think it was possible or do you mean it over reads by 1mph?
Yes sorry. I meant to say over reads. It shows 71mph at actual 70 mph.
